How about this for ironic… this picture is from today. The fires which are burning up Southern CA.

Malibu Presbyterian Church was one of several local landmarks razed in a blaze that hit the seaside city.
Hummmmmmmm… I think it is time for America to WAKE UP!
Revelation 4
1 ¶ After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me ; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2Â And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3Â And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
4Â And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5Â And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6Â And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne , and round about the throne, no limit texas hold emplay video poker7 card stud low,7 card stud rules,7 card studtexas holdem game, free texas holdem game download, texas holdem poker gameonline poker downloadfree poker online, free online poker no download, play free poker onlineonline poker no downloadonline betting pokerfree online poker, free poker, free online poker gamebest internet pokerwin 7 card studplay poker gamecaribbean stud poker7 card stud gamefree video pokeronline roulette poker7 card stud strategiesstrip poker gamepoker software developmentpoker onlinefree online multiplayer poker game, free online poker, play free poker onlinepoker strategyonline poker schooltexas hold em poker onlinecelebrity pokerfree video poker gamemultiplayer poker onlinetexas holdem tournament strategy, texas holdem tournament, free texas holdem tournamentinternet poker softwarebest online pokerreal money online pokeronline texas holdem, free online texas holdem poker, play texas holdem poker onlinepoker card gamepoker game rulefree online 7 card studonline poker softwaredraw pokergambling pokerfree online video poker gamecaribbean pokerfree 7 card stud pokermac online pokerplay texas holdem free, play texas holdem online free, free texas holdem poker playvideo poker downloadonline poker strategyvideo poker bettinghold em pokeromaha poker ruleonline video pokerplay texas holdem online were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

The genius of God can easily be seen in how He uses the foolish things of this world to shame those whom are wise in their own eyes. I should think it a far better way to be considered a fool in the eyes of mortal men rather than a fool in eyes of the Lord God Almighty. For who else can take the discarded of this inverted world and use them to his glory to confound the prideful. It is not that which you have or have not that makes greatness but rather what you do with it and for what purpose you use it. I tell you a man who has much but uses it only to glorify himself will be a person indeed whom can find neither contentment nor lasting satisfaction with the fruits of his labors. Yet the one whom has been given little yet gives it all away to others without expecting self glory will be held up high in the eyes of the Lord and shall profit with fruits which shall endure forever in the heavenly realm. He shall be crowned with many blessings which shall not pass away with this fading temporary world. The Lord God Almighty rejoices in those who are humble and faithful. To those who have much given, much will be expected of them. So when you see a person in this world which is blessed with abundance in earthy treasures think of the great responsibility that weighs down upon his shoulders for all that he has he is expected to use to glorify God. I should also think that this man is worse off than the one whom has little for again I tell you we are all responsible before the Lord for all that we have been given. He bestows great blessings on every human life yet few can see the blessings because few are willing to seek Him. Without first seeking how can one find? They cannot. Such is the quandary of the man who has much. The more one has the greater the temptation to be self reliant.
This man says to himself, “what do I need God for; I am rich and am in need of nothing. My houses are filled with riches from every nation in the world and I dine on the best foods in the land. The people of the city regard me in the highest circles and grant me exceptional powers.” I tell you this man is both poor and blind for his arrogance will bring him to eventual ruin. Those who sang his praises will mock such a one in the same streets that they once cheered him in. So ask yourself my dear friends, what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul? Do you really think that our brief mortal existence is all there is? Again I say to you that the one who gives up his life here in the temporal shall gain it in fullness which shall make this life truly worth living and in the world to come they shall sit on thrones which shall never end and have riches for eternity that no mortal being can even begin to comprehend. So in the end of time, who will really be shown as the fool? Let it known that the Lord God Almighty is eternally loving and just. His ways are perfect and all will know that He and He alone is worthy of praise. For there is none like him no not one!
Those of you who are persecuted… those of you whom are ridiculed day and night by the nations know that you are loved and treasured by the very creator of the universe. He is faithful and true to reward his own. Count every wound by the tongues and hands of others as more treasure stored up for you in heaven… for such is the reason we are told to rejoice because the world so to hated Christ Jesus first and He overcame it and now sits on the throne of God. When we are hated by those whom have nothing but the temporary things of this world ask our heavenly Father to flood them with blessing because the more they take here the more we gain there. Pray that the weight of those blessing may bring them down to their knees that some of them may be humbled before the Lord and be saved. For this two shall add greatly to your eternal treasures for one human soul is priceless to our Father whom gave his only son so that who so ever believes in him shall be given eternal life. It would be well advised to love thy enemies for many former enemies have become some of our most faithful and fruitful citizens. If you find this impossible to do then remind yourself that all things are possible in the Lord your God whom created both heavens and earth and even knit your body together in your mothers womb.
Ask him to teach you as He teaches me that you may grow in your faith and knowledge of the Lord. For all knowledge and wisdom proceed forth from His throne on high. He is your heavenly Father and will not turn his children away. When you before him, talk with him without the fig leaves of hidden sins. Hide nothing from him and you will be rewarded richly with wisdom. Be open and honest for he knows all things anyway and will not punish those who are honest and humble but rather will instruct and correct with perfect unconditional love and abounding patience. Be not afraid to ask him to show you the areas which hinder your growth and now this… he will complete the good work he has begun in you. Be assured that once you know him as Father one day you will surely see him as Father as well when that great and glorious day comes. There will be times when you will be tested for nothing is gained in growth without trials and tribulations. The greater the testing the greater your purpose is in service so let not your heart be down trodden when the storms of life come upon you. Instead run in prayer to your Father and cast all your worries on him and he will uphold you in even the strongest of winds. Know that his love is without bounds. It is unconditional and never fails like that of mortal love. Above all things ask him to teach you how to love him and your fellow brothers and sisters even your enemies for he wishes no human being to be cast into eternal damnation with the fallen angels. Not one person is without hope of salvation while they still have breath within them. The evil one will try to convince you and even trick you into believing that all I have told you is a lie that is why I tell you to test all things vigilantly by the scriptures, in prayer and godly council. Remember that Satan is the great deceiver and comes you cloaked in light but he is the destroyer and seeks only to draw you away from the Lord and your brothers and sisters. Again I tell you test all things even these very words for there are many among us who the evil one has sowed in our midst to cause great division. Some of these wolves in sheep’s clothing will come as a shock to you when you have the eyes to see them… many are considered well respected leaders and command much authority but I tell you those leaders and many of those who follow them will be exposed soon the light of the truth and shall be cut down from among you and thrown into the lake of fire lest they turn from their deceitful ways. Just as the Lord said terrible it be for them on that day. Many will stand before the Lord and proclaim all they did in his name and the Lord shall say to them, “depart from me I never knew you.” You have been warned to keep watch over another as Jesus himself watches over all of us. Do this not in your strength but in the Lord himself for it is written that apart from the Father we can do nothing. Ask Him for wisdom and discernment and He shall give it to you in accordance with his plan and will for each of you. Though all mankind is imperfect and prone to many mistakes the Lord God Almighty and His Word is perfect and remains the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. When in doubt place your trust in He alone and you shall not be led astray by anything of this dying age. As for me I ask of thee to remember me in your prayers daily for I am constantly in trials and tribulations which I endure for the sake of my Lord and Savior in whom I have charged to equip, train, encourage and lead the Army of the Lord as one his royal ambassadors. May your heart and mind be set steadfastly on the victory we have in Christ Jesus our King, our Lord, our Savior, and our greatest friend who all power flows to us his chosen Holy Ones. Fear not the world of mortal men but rather rejoice in the hope that you have given unto by our heavenly Fathers supreme graces.    Â

Written as a response to a number blogs on the emergent church… Andrew ( www.tallskinnykiwi.com), I read your blog on the pyro guys… and it brought up some of the conversations that occurred during your HAPPY HOUR. Just thought I would throw this definition out to you… I want to discuss this issue of the “emergent church” culture with you more at a later time…
n
The irony of the neo-fundamental reform people are that they tend to act in many cases like the very ones who persecuted and criticized the reformation at the very beginning. To be perfectly honest I know very little about the pyromaniacs so I will only address them off handedly and with a half nod to them for their crafty artistry in getting people to discuss the issue of emergent church culture… that is a good thing. I guess where I stand on these pyro guys is that they may be so consumed with theology that they often miss the heart of the gospel. I must admit however that their graphics are well produced and thought provoking. I am simply a follower of Christ so I do not identify with the multiple camps in the church. I believe that we are one body with many parts. Each part of the body is important to the greater whole…
Sometime ago I was approached by some guys at a Seminary much like these Pryomaniacs Frank and Dan, who held the bible out to me and demanded angrily that I bow down to the authority of scripture. I simply told them that I bow only before the Lord God Almighty and that His Word is alive. His Word is the spirit of truth in love which is the Holy spirit whom is one with the Father and the Son. Jesus told us that they will know we are His followers by HOW WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER. Perfect love is perfectly unified with truth, justice, mercy and humility. For the Lord our God is One. And we are called to be a people of 1 heart, 1 mind and 1 spirit serving the 1 true God. Is it not written that God is love? This does not mean that God is not also perfectly just, merciful, humble and truthful. God is the Father of all truth. The heart of the gospel is love in truth… worship in truth and in spirit… which is the way, the life and the truth of Christ Jesus… who is the living word. We must remember that those who are not against us are for us. Why must we fight amongst ourselves? For what does this profit the Body? There is no division in God… We are called to be unified in spirit, truth and love lived out from the inside out. Division among us comes from pride, fear, ignorance and confusion. This is only possible by the inward to outward transformation of each believer which is accomplished by the work of the Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of truth which is the living Word of God which indwells each true believer. We are called to be a people of 1 heart, 1 mind and 1 spirit. This unity can only be achieved by the power of God in and through His people. As I commented on the communicast ignorance explodes when human knowledge increases exponentially without a corresponding humbling process. All of our knowledge must be submitted to the Lord and his governance so that we do not become prideful and thusly become blinded by that pride. In other words, we must be made humble in order that we might become increasingly loving, truthful, just and merciful from the inside out. In the Kingdom there is no division of these noble things. They are all unified in Christ Jesus… who is perfectedly one with the Father and the Holy Spirit, hence the importance of the Lordship of Christ over all areas of our lives here in the finite realm. Just as deed and thought were perfectly unified in all ways in the life of Jesus; we too are in the process of “all things being worked together for the good of those who love Him.” Note here the concept of togetherness or the progression towards unity. For the Lord our God is one… without divisions. We are divided here in the finite because of our human frailty resulting from sin whose root cause is pride and disbelief born our of ignorance and woundedness. It is so easy for us to be divided in the fleshy finite because nothing good dwells in the flesh and it is precisely the sin in our flesh, which wars against the holy spirit within each believer. It is the work of the Holy Spirit, which unifies us in the Lord God Almighty as a people of one heart, one mind and one spirit. The divisions here are remnants of the sin, which remains in the flesh warring against our members. For this reason we need God’s grace that we might grant it freely to one another in order that we might grow closer to the Lord and to one another. The Kingdom reality transcends the earthly finite reality which bound by limited perspective view due to its finiteness. Perfect love overcomes all finite divisions because it is perfectly unified with truth, justice, mercy and humility in both word and deed. This is the Christ likeness we all seek to be. For this is why we run the race is it not? Yet while we are enshrouded by these mortal coils of weak flesh, we are susceptible to the corrupting influences which seek to divide us. We all need God’s grace to overcome this. Aaron Rowe Email 06.13.07 | 10:00 AM
Don Herbert was known to his fans as Mr. Wizard, star of the Watch Mr. Wizard show. Long before Mythbusters, Herbert made common household items seem magical every Saturday at noon on NBC, from 1951 to 1964.
Herbert died on Tuesday after a long struggle with multiple myeloma, the Los Angeles Times reported. His legacy is the thousands of children he inspired to get involved in science. Many of them, myself included, are practicing scientists today.
An Air Force veteran and former actor, Herbert revived the show once in 1971, and again on Nickelodeon from 1983 to 1990. By then he had created a bank of shows that he released on DVD in 2004.
The Mr. Wizard show made a long-term cultural impact, engendering parodies including “Ask Mr. Lizard!” on the TV cartoon Dinosaurs, “Ask Mr. Stupid” on the ’90s cartoon The Ren and Stimpy Show”, and “Ask Dr. Science!” on the public radio comedy Duck’s Breath Mystery Theater.
Herbert was interviewed by Wired News in May through e-mail with help from his son-in-law, Thomas Nikosey. Nikosey took over as president of Mr. Wizard Studios five years ago.
WN: What was the highlight of your career?
Herbert: One of the many highlights was realizing the tremendous effect the Watch Mr. Wizard show had on the mass national audience. After all, we did not tape in front of an audience and the early years were live, kinescope, shows. We didn’t get instant feedback.
WN: What advice would you give to the makers of science television programming?
Herbert: Science is about the real world around us and it’s filled with fascinating wonders.
WN: Is there any one household item or chemical that you think is particularly amazing?
Herbert: There are several: bleach, vinegar, ammonia, baking soda, straws, paper, scissors, etc. I authored a book titled Mr. Wizard’s Supermarket Science that deals with this very question.
WN: You began to include girls in your show quite early on. Female scientists are beginning to outnumber male scientists in some areas. Can you comment on what led you to be so far ahead of your time?
Herbert: Looking back it certainly was a major contributing factor to the show’s longevity and success. The girls were terrific!
WN: What would you consider to be the most memorable moments from your shows?
Herbert: The shows that presented surprises to both me and the kids.
WN: You must have a lot of stories about people that have thanked you for turning them on to science. Can you share some of your favorites?
Herbert: There have been so many over the years: doctors, scientists, engineers, science teachers, science reporters, on-air science T.V. personalities. Actually, I feel very fortunate that I was able to spark an interest in so many lives.
WN: Do you think that excessive concerns about safety detract from the value of modern chemistry sets and educational toys?
Herbert: To some degree, but safety is paramount. We stressed safety and parental guidance very emphatically all during the shows and on our products.
WN: Was getting the show started difficult, and how did you plan episodes and produce them?
Herbert: There were many rejections and rewrites, but perseverance prevailed and a producer, Charles Power, took a chance on it.
WN: What do you think are the greatest issues facing science education today?
Herbert: So many entertainment distractions.
WN: Are there any current science shows that you find particularly educational or entertaining?
Herbert: The Discovery Science Channel.
WN: Do you think that you were an inspiration for the science programming that has become very popular on the Discovery Channel?
Herbert: Maybe.
WN: What do you think of computer games?
Herbert: Computer solitaire was one of my favorites.
WN: What became of the kids who helped you on the TV show?
Herbert: There were several kids over the years. Some have passed away, some stay in touch. Rita McLaughlin, who appeared in many of the Watch Mr. Wizard series, had dinner with my wife Norma and I in New York City in 2002 while we were in for the 75th Anniversary of NBC.
Wired News: What advice would you give to the next generation of science educators?
Herbert: To keep a hands-on approach to teaching science and always keep the student involved.
